Welcome
Whether you are someone who has good or bad experiences of mental health, a qualified practitioner or even an organization wishing to signpost your location on the web for others to find you easily, the Mental Health Social Network (MHSN) is the one stop place to add your profile and share your news and views on mental health and wellbeing. Please see our About page for more information.
NEW! MHSN Quick Guide
The Wire
The Wire is a Twitter-like feature which is always readable by the whole world so you can gain maximum exposure for yourself or your organization. You can use search hashtags and you can link to other user accounts using the "@" symbol just like Twitter. You can even filter down wire posts to view just your friends and your own posts.
Groups
Groups are packed full of features the group admin can choose from. You can blog, create pages (you can give others access like a Wiki), brainstorm, create topical discussions, upload files and bookmark your favorite things. Groups can be used as a complete project management suite of tools; very useful to get your cause across and sustain a valuable pool of members who are committed to the group's topic. You can also adjust the access on groups and each individual post made by choosing from several privacy options.
Profile Pages
Profile pages are where you can network and make friends. You can centralize and monitor all your profile information for other people to find out more about you and or your projects. You can drag and drop widgets to add your Twitter feed, videos, activity, RSS feeds, Wire posts, Events... and a lot more. If you don't want to be part of any groups or The Wire then you can also choose to just create personal blogs, bookmarks, files and pages made viewable for those you select or just you.
Featured MHSN News
MHSN has streamlined its appearance to make your time here much more focused on the things that matter to you and the things that are trending. Your Profile Page Widgets, Groups and the Twitter-like packed feature named The Wire are now the key focal points for people surfing MHSN. Blogs, pages, events, discussion forums, files and brainstorms are all found via your profile page, a group page and or a general search.
